Shipping LED mirrors to Far North Queensland
VUELUXE ships LED bathroom mirrors to Far North Queensland from our Adelaide warehouse. Standard transit time to Cairns is 3–4 business days via road freight. For other FNQ locations — Port Douglas, Atherton Tablelands, Innisfail, Tully, Mission Beach — transit times are broadly similar to Cairns. Remote Cape York Peninsula and Gulf Country locations will extend further and should be confirmed with the trade team before placing an order. For full transit times, see our lead times guide.
FNQ transit times by location
Indicative transit times from the Melbourne VUELUXE warehouse to FNQ locations:
- Cairns (city and suburbs — Smithfield, Gordonvale, Edmonton): 3–4 business days
- Cairns Northern Beaches (Clifton Beach, Palm Cove, Ellis Beach): 3–4 business days
- Port Douglas: 3–5 business days
- Atherton Tablelands (Atherton, Mareeba, Kuranda): 4–5 business days
- Innisfail: 3–4 business days
- Tully: 4–5 business days
- Mission Beach: 4–5 business days
- Cape York (Cooktown, Laura, Weipa): 5–8 business days — confirm before ordering
- Gulf Country (Normanton, Karumba): 5–8 business days — confirm before ordering
For project scheduling in Cairns and FNQ, we recommend placing orders at least 7 business days before the required on-site date. For remote Cape York and Gulf Country locations, allow 10–12 business days from order placement.
Tropical packaging requirements for FNQ
VUELUXE cartons use double-wall corrugated construction with foam protection and are moisture-resistant in normal transit conditions. For FNQ projects, the following handling requirements apply:
- Arrange delivery to a site address with covered, dry storage available. Do not accept delivery to an open site with no protection from weather
- During the wet season (November–April), tropical rainfall events can be sudden and intense. Product should be moved under cover immediately on arrival
- Do not store product in direct sunlight or in an outdoor position — the combination of direct tropical sun and heat can affect packaging integrity
- If product is being held on site before installation, store in the most climate-controlled area available — typically inside a lockable structure with shade and ventilation
VUELUXE’s moisture-resistant cartons provide reasonable protection during transit but are not designed for extended outdoor storage. If there is a gap between delivery and installation, ensure product is stored appropriately.
Inspecting product on arrival in FNQ
Inspect all cartons on arrival before the carrier leaves. Check for:
- External damage — crushed corners, punctures, or compression marks
- Wet damage or moisture staining on the carton surface
- Any evidence of rough handling (scuffs, torn tape, resealed packaging)
If damage is visible, note it on the carrier’s delivery docket before signing. Photograph the damage on your phone before moving the carton. If you have serious concerns about the contents, open the packaging in the carrier’s presence. For VUELUXE’s arrival inspection guide, see our product inspection guide.
Product specifications for FNQ deliveries
All product supplied to Cairns and Far North Queensland should be specified with:
- Copper-free glass backing — mandatory for FNQ’s tropical humidity and rainfall environment. For detailed information, see our copper-free glass specification page
- IP44 minimum rating — required under AS/NZS 3000 for Zone 2 installation and appropriate for FNQ’s high-moisture bathroom environments
- LED driver rated for 45°C ambient — all VUELUXE products meet this standard
Standard glass-backed mirrors degrade rapidly in FNQ’s climate. Copper-free glass is not an option — it is the correct specification for this environment. VUELUXE does not recommend standard glass-backed mirrors for any FNQ installation.
How to order for FNQ projects

For Cairns and FNQ, the Queensland supply hub is the relevant starting point. For QLD-specific compliance requirements, see our Queensland supply hub and the associated CCEW compliance information.
