Can I customise size, frame, or CCT?

Yes — VUELUXE accepts custom orders for container-level quantities (80+ units). Available custom options include: frame finish (brushed black, brushed gold, brushed silver, matte white — MOQ applies per finish variant), CCT preset (fixed CCT instead of tunable, e.g. fixed 4000K), and size (non-standard dimensions outside the catalogue range — 12-week lead time). Custom orders require a design confirmation deposit and have a 6–12 week lead time depending on the specification. All custom options are available to standard catalogue specifications as the base — customisation modifies a known product rather than designing from scratch.

Frame finish customisation

The standard VUELUXE catalogue covers brushed gold, brushed black, brushed silver, and matte white frame finishes across most models. These are the stocked finishes — no minimum order quantity applies within the container order threshold. For orders below container level, all four finishes are available subject to stock.

Custom finishes — colours or treatments not in the standard catalogue — require a minimum order quantity (typically 30–50 units per finish) because the factory runs the finish as a separate production batch. Custom finish development involves: a colour specification from the buyer (RAL code, Pantone reference, or a physical sample), a factory swatch for approval, a production sample run for final approval, and then full production. The custom finish process adds 2–3 weeks to the standard 6–8 week custom order lead time.

For container-level orders with multiple finish variants, the total container quantity (80+ units) qualifies for container pricing, but each finish variant within the container must meet the per-finish minimum (typically 30+ units). A container of 80 units split as 40 brushed gold / 40 brushed black is straightforward — two finishes, each above the per-finish minimum. A container split across 10 different finishes at 8 units each does not work economically for custom finishes.

CCT preset customisation

Standard VUELUXE models are tunable — the user adjusts colour temperature between 2700K and 6500K via the touch sensor. For commercial, multi-residential, and aged care projects where operational consistency is preferred over user adjustability, a fixed CCT preset is available. Common fixed presets: 3000K (warm, residential-leaning), 4000K (neutral white, most widely used in commercial), and 5000K (cool daylight).

Fixed CCT orders require a minimum of 20–30 units for the factory to reconfigure the driver preset for a production run. The lead time is 6–8 weeks from order confirmation. Fixed CCT models are slightly lower cost than tunable models — the simpler driver configuration reduces the component cost. For a large commercial project specifying 80 mirrors all at 4000K, the fixed CCT option is both lower cost and simpler operationally — facility managers do not need to explain CCT adjustment to building users.

Size customisation

Non-standard sizes — dimensions outside the VUELUXE standard catalogue range — are available for container-level orders with a 12-week lead time. Custom sizing involves: confirmation of the exact W×H dimensions (and D if non-standard depth is required), confirmation that the LED strip arrangement and driver can accommodate the non-standard aspect ratio, a technical review by the VUELUXE engineering team, factory prototyping for new dimensions (1–2 units), prototype approval by the buyer, and full production run.

The 12-week lead time reflects the prototyping stage. Custom sizes that fall within the normal manufacturing parameter range — standard depth, standard LED strip count, just a different width × height combination — may have a shorter lead time of 8–10 weeks. Confirm the timeline with the account manager when specifying the size.

For projects with very specific size requirements driven by tile layout or cabinet dimensions, submit the required dimensions to the VUELUXE account manager before committing to the specification — there may be a standard catalogue size that is close enough to eliminate the custom order lead time. A 795×595mm requirement, for example, could be served by the standard 700×700mm size with a 5mm adjustment to the tile layout.

Design confirmation deposit

Custom orders require a design confirmation deposit before production commences. The deposit is a percentage of the total order value (typically 30%) and is applied to the final invoice on delivery. The deposit confirms the buyer’s commitment to the custom specification and allows the factory to commence raw material sourcing and production scheduling. Deposits are non-refundable after the factory commences production — confirm the specification is final before approving the deposit invoice.

Before the deposit is requested, VUELUXE provides a design confirmation document — a written specification summary of every custom element — for the buyer to review and sign. This document is the reference point for production and for any post-delivery quality assessment. Read it carefully before signing; it should match your specification in every detail.
