How long is the VUELUXE warranty?

VUELUXE warranty terms are: LED strips — 5 years. Driver electronics and touch sensor — 2 years. Frame and glass for manufacturing defects — lifetime. Transit damage and dead-on-arrival replacements — 14-day no-form replacement policy. The warranty runs from the date of purchase invoice. No registration is required. The warranty is fully transferable to subsequent owners without any action required.

LED strip warranty — 5 years

The LED strip is the light-emitting component of the mirror — the linear LED module that provides front-lit, backlit, or halo lighting depending on the model. LED strips are the component most likely to exhibit performance changes over time: lumen depreciation (gradual dimming), colour shift, or individual LED failure. VUELUXE provides a 5-year warranty on LED strips covering failure to illuminate, significant lumen depreciation beyond normal L70 parameters, and colour shift outside the specified CCT range.

Five years is a meaningful warranty period for LED strips. Many lower-cost bathroom mirror brands provide 1–2 year LED warranties, which reflects lower confidence in the LED strip quality. The VUELUXE 5-year LED warranty is backed by the LED strips sourced for the VUELUXE specification — strips rated to 50,000 hours at L70, sourced from the same factory that produces the complete mirror. This is not a separate third-party component warranty; it is VUELUXE’s warranty on the complete product it supplies.

Driver electronics and touch sensor — 2 years

The driver electronics (the LED driver that converts mains voltage to the DC voltage required by the LED strip) and the touch sensor circuit are covered for 2 years from the purchase invoice date. These components are the most electrically complex parts of the mirror assembly and are the components most likely to fail in the event of a manufacturing defect or an in-service electrical event. The 2-year warranty covers failure to function as specified — touch sensor unresponsiveness, driver failure, flickering, or erratic dimming behaviour.

Touch sensor failures that occur after the 2-year warranty period are typically caused by high-humidity exposure without a demister, physical damage, or normal end-of-life of the capacitive sensor components. For hotel and commercial applications where touch sensor reliability over a longer service period is important, VUELUXE recommends specifying demister-equipped models, which maintain the humidity environment around the sensor within the designed operating range.

Frame and glass — lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects

The frame and glass components are covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Manufacturing defects in mirrors and frames include delamination of the frame finish, glass defects present at time of supply (bubbles, inclusions, optical distortion), and structural defects in the frame assembly. The lifetime warranty covers the original purchaser and transfers to subsequent owners.

The lifetime warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, physical impact, chemical cleaning agents incompatible with the frame finish, or normal wear and surface deterioration from environmental exposure. It covers defects that are present in the product as manufactured and supplied — faults in the material or production process, not faults in how the product was used or installed.

14-day no-form replacement for DOA and transit damage

Any mirror that arrives damaged in transit or dead-on-arrival (not functioning when first powered on after installation) is replaced within 14 days with no forms, no returns process, and no freight charges for the replacement. Report the issue to VUELUXE within 14 days of delivery with a brief description and photograph. VUELUXE dispatches a replacement within 2 business days of the report being received.

This policy exists because transit damage and DOA failures are supplier-side failures, not buyer-side failures, and the resolution should be immediate and frictionless. A builder or contractor on a fit-out timeline cannot wait for a returns assessment process — a replacement needs to arrive before the fit-out schedule is disrupted. The 14-day no-form policy reflects this operational reality.

No registration required

VUELUXE warranty is activated from the purchase invoice date with no registration required. Trade account holders do not need to complete a warranty registration form, create an account on a warranty portal, or retain any documentation beyond the original purchase invoice. The invoice date is the warranty start date. For projects where mirrors are purchased months before installation, the warranty period runs from the invoice date, not the installation date — buyers should factor this into their order timing for long-lead projects.

Warranty for council inspections and handover

For builders and developers who need to provide warranty documentation at project handover or for council or certifier inspections, VUELUXE provides a written warranty letter on request. This letter specifies the warranty terms by component, the warranty period for each component, and confirms the purchase invoice date as the warranty start date. The warranty letter is suitable for inclusion in building documentation, handover packs, and strata or body corporate records.
