Do I need to register my mirror for warranty?

No — VUELUXE does not require product registration. The warranty is automatic from the date of purchase and requires no online registration, no warranty card activation, and no form submission. Retain the purchase invoice as proof of purchase date — that is the only document required for a warranty claim. The warranty is also transferable to the homeowner without any re-registration process.

Why no registration is required

Product registration requirements exist primarily to benefit the manufacturer — they build a customer contact database and can argue a warranty is void if a registration step was not completed. VUELUXE’s position is that the warranty is a commitment to the quality of the product, not a conditional entitlement that requires administrative activation. A builder or developer should not need to remember to register a product to have a valid warranty claim.

The purchase invoice is the warranty document. It records the buyer, the order date, the model, and the quantity. That is all the information needed to process a warranty claim. VUELUXE’s order management system can cross-reference any invoice to the production batch and confirm the product age from the order date.

What counts as proof of purchase

Any of the following serve as proof of purchase for warranty claims: the VUELUXE invoice issued at the time of sale, the purchase order confirmation email, the packing list included in the carton, or a statement from the VUELUXE trade account showing the order. If you have misplaced the invoice, contact VUELUXE with the approximate purchase date and the trade account name — the order can be retrieved from the account history.

The warranty clock starts on the invoice date, not the installation date. For mirrors that are ordered well in advance of installation (as is common in construction projects where mirrors are ordered at rough-in stage and installed at fit-off), the invoice date is the warranty start point. For a mirror ordered 6 months before installation, the 5-year LED warranty runs for 5 years from order date — 4.5 years from installation.

Passing the warranty to the homeowner

The VUELUXE warranty is transferable to the homeowner or subsequent property owner without any registration or transfer process. When a builder or developer hands over a completed project, the VUELUXE warranty transfers automatically with the mirror. There is no warranty transfer form, no notification required to VUELUXE, and no change in warranty terms on transfer.

The practical step for builders passing the warranty to a homeowner is to include a copy of the VUELUXE invoice in the homeowner handover documentation. The invoice is the proof of purchase — the homeowner will need it if they make a warranty claim after settlement. VUELUXE recommends builders include the invoice in the fixtures and fittings schedule provided to the homeowner at settlement.

Warranty duration by component

As a reminder for documentation purposes: the VUELUXE warranty covers LED strips for 5 years from purchase date, driver electronics and touch sensor for 2 years from purchase date, and frame and glass against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the product. The 14-day no-form replacement for transit damage and DOA units runs from delivery date, not purchase date.

These warranty periods are the same regardless of whether the product is used in a residential, multi-residential, or commercial project. VUELUXE does not differentiate warranty terms by project type or by the volume of product purchased. A single mirror purchased at trade pricing carries the same warranty as a container order.

Warranty for discontinued models

If a model is discontinued during the warranty period, VUELUXE’s obligation to honour the warranty does not change. For discontinued models, VUELUXE will supply a replacement of equivalent or superior specification in the event of a valid warranty claim. The replacement will be the closest available current model in terms of size, frame finish, and specification. VUELUXE maintains replacement parts and replacement stock for all models for a minimum of 5 years after the model’s last sale date.

This is particularly relevant for builders who specify a model for a project in year one and then have a warranty claim in year three — by which time the model may have been updated. VUELUXE’s commitment is to fulfil the warranty obligation regardless of model status.

What to include in homeowner documentation

When handing over a completed project to the homeowner, the warranty documentation package for VUELUXE mirrors should include: the VUELUXE purchase invoice (copy), the model name and number for each mirror installed (from the fixtures and fittings schedule), the VUELUXE warranty summary (available from the trade portal), and the VUELUXE warranty team contact email. The homeowner does not need to contact VUELUXE at handover — they only need this information if a warranty issue arises in the future.
