What does VUELUXE’s warranty actually cover?

VUELUXE warranty coverage is structured by component. LED strips carry a 5-year warranty. Driver electronics and touch sensor carry a 2-year warranty. Frame and glass carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. In addition, a 14-day no-form replacement applies to transit damage and dead-on-arrival units — photograph the issue and email it to the warranty team, and a replacement ships within 2 business days. The warranty does not cover impact damage, incorrect installation, or damage caused by connecting the mirror to an external dimmer switch.

LED strip warranty — 5 years

LED strip failure is the most common long-term failure mode in LED mirrors. The 5-year LED warranty covers any failure in the LED strip itself — including section failure (where part of the strip goes dark), colour shift beyond acceptable tolerances, and total LED failure. The warranty period starts from the date of purchase confirmed by invoice.

LED strip failure is assessed by the VUELUXE technical team from photographs or video. In most cases, the assessment can be completed remotely without the mirror being returned. If the LED strip is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, VUELUXE will either send a replacement mirror or, in some cases, arrange a technician repair depending on the nature of the failure and the trade account holder’s preference.

Driver electronics and touch sensor — 2 years

The driver converts mains power to the voltage required by the LED strip. Touch sensor failure and driver failure are the most common electronics failures in the first two years. The 2-year warranty covers: driver failure (mirror does not power on), touch sensor failure (mirror does not respond to touch), demister relay failure (demister does not activate), and CCT control failure (cannot change colour temperature).

Driver and electronics failures are assessed via email — describe the symptom and include a short video if possible. Most electronics failures are covered without question in the first 2 years. VUELUXE dispatches a replacement mirror rather than a component — trade account holders are not expected to perform component-level repairs on site.

Frame and glass — lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects

The frame and glass warranty covers defects that were present at the time of manufacture: frame finish defects (bubbling, delamination, uneven finish), glass defects (inclusions, chips at the polished edge that were present pre-installation), and structural frame defects. The lifetime warranty does not cover wear from normal use, cleaning product damage, or post-installation impact damage.

In practice, frame and glass defects are almost always visible before installation. The 14-day no-form replacement process (below) is the correct path for frame or glass defects noticed at or shortly after delivery. The lifetime manufacturing defect warranty applies to latent defects that become apparent after installation — for example, a frame finish that begins delaminating in year three.

14-day no-form replacement — transit damage and DOA

Transit damage and dead-on-arrival (DOA) units are handled under the 14-day no-form replacement process. The process is: photograph the damage or defect, email the photographs to the VUELUXE warranty team with your order reference, and a replacement is dispatched within 2 business days. No forms, no return label, no courier pick-up required. Keep the damaged unit until VUELUXE advises otherwise — it is used for freight insurance claims.

The 14-day window is measured from the date of delivery confirmed by tracking. If mirrors are sitting on-site unopened for an extended period, unpack and inspect within the first 2 weeks of delivery rather than waiting until installation. A mirror inspected and found damaged 6 weeks after delivery is outside the no-form window and requires a standard warranty assessment instead.

What the warranty does not cover

Impact damage: chips, cracks, or frame damage caused by physical impact after installation are not covered. This includes damage from tools, cleaning equipment, or objects falling against the mirror.

Incorrect installation: damage or failure caused by installation that did not follow the VUELUXE installation guide — including incorrect voltage supply, incorrect wall substrate, or failure to use the supplied mounting hardware — is not covered.

External dimmer damage: LED bathroom mirrors with internal drivers are not compatible with external rotary or trailing-edge dimmer switches. Connecting a VUELUXE mirror to an external dimmer switch voids the driver warranty. The CCT and dimming function on VUELUXE mirrors is controlled via the integrated touch sensor — no external dimmer is needed or supported.

Warranty is transferable

The VUELUXE warranty is transferable to the homeowner. Builders and developers who supply VUELUXE mirrors to their clients can pass the warranty documentation to the homeowner at settlement. The warranty runs from the original purchase date and is tracked by the order number — no re-registration is required on transfer.

The purchase invoice is the proof of purchase for warranty claims. VUELUXE does not require a warranty card, online registration, or any activation step. Keep the invoice on file for the warranty period.
