What’s the MOQ for volume builders?
VUELUXE’s MOQ for volume builders is project-based — there is no arbitrary per-model minimum. A standard house builder project order is typically 10–50 mirrors. Container-level orders (80–120 units) attract the best pricing tier. Single-project orders under 10 units are possible but priced at a higher per-unit rate, and freight costs represent a larger proportion of the total.
How minimum order quantity is structured
Unlike suppliers that set a fixed MOQ per SKU (for example, “minimum 5 units of model X”), VUELUXE assesses MOQ at the project level. If a builder is fitting out 30 bathrooms across a single residential development, that 30-unit order is treated as a single project regardless of whether it spans two or three mirror models. This approach reflects how builders actually procure: by project, not by product line.
There is no formal minimum below which VUELUXE will not supply — but orders under 10 units are quoted at standard trade pricing without volume discount, and the per-unit freight cost is proportionally higher. For most builders, the practical minimum that makes a VUELUXE account financially viable is around 10 units per project or 20–30 units annually across multiple projects.
Volume tiers explained
VUELUXE pricing operates across three broad volume bands. The first is the standard trade tier, which applies to project orders of 1–20 units — verified trade accounts only, but without volume discount beyond the base trade rate. The second is the volume builder tier, which applies to project orders of 20–79 units or annual spend that establishes a standing account relationship. The third is the container tier, which applies to orders of 80–120 units and represents the lowest per-unit cost available from VUELUXE.
Container-level pricing is relevant for larger residential developers and volume builders running programs of 40 or more houses per year. At this scale, a single container order may cover an entire year of mirror supply across multiple projects, and holding stock in Adelaide warehouse eliminates the lead time risk on individual house completions.
Standard project order: 10–50 units
The 10–50 unit range covers the majority of house builder project orders. A standard 20-lot residential development typically requires 20–40 mirrors depending on the number of bathrooms per dwelling and whether the specification includes ensuite-only or full bathroom fit-out. VUELUXE Adelaide warehouse stock is sized to fill orders in this range from existing inventory, meaning no factory lead time is needed for standard models.
For orders in this range, VUELUXE can typically deliver to metropolitan Melbourne in 1–3 business days and regional Victoria or interstate within 5–7 business days. Payment is required at order confirmation for new accounts.
Container orders: 80–120 units
A full container order represents the highest volume tier and the best per-unit price point. Container orders are typically placed by volume residential builders running ongoing house programs, large apartment developers, or property groups that aggregate demand across multiple projects. VUELUXE coordinates container orders directly with the factory, meaning the order can include non-standard models or custom specifications not held in Adelaide warehouse stock.
Container lead time from factory is 6–8 weeks from purchase order placement. Builders using this option need to plan their procurement timeline accordingly — VUELUXE recommends placing container orders when the first stage of a project breaks ground, not when mirrors are needed on site.
Sub-10 unit orders
VUELUXE does supply orders of fewer than 10 units — these are not refused — but the economics are different. Per-unit cost is at standard trade rate, and fixed freight costs represent a higher proportion of the total invoice. Sub-10 unit orders are most common from custom or luxury builders fitting out a single high-spec property, where mirror cost is a smaller proportion of the overall project budget. For this type of buyer, VUELUXE provides the same 24-hour quote turnaround and the same compliance documentation as for any volume order.
Mixing models within an order
Orders do not need to be a single model. A builder specifying different mirror sizes for main bathroom versus ensuite can combine models within a single project order. The project total quantity determines the pricing tier, not the per-model quantity. So a 30-unit order comprising 15 units of VLM-04 and 15 units of VLFR-01 is treated as a 30-unit order for pricing purposes.
If a mix includes a model not currently held in Adelaide warehouse, VUELUXE will advise on availability and whether a partial shipment from stock with a follow-on factory order is practical for the project timeline.
