What spec documents do architects get from VUELUXE?

VUELUXE provides architects with a complete specification package: cut sheets (PDF per model with dimensions, wattage, CCT, CRI, IP rating, weight, and fixing diagram), compliance certificates (RCM/SAA and IP44 test reports), NatSpec-compatible specification text, and DXF/DWG outline files for AutoCAD schedule drawings on request. All documents are available to verified trade account holders at no cost.

Cut sheets

Each VUELUXE model has a dedicated cut sheet in PDF format. The cut sheet covers all information needed to write and verify a specification: external dimensions (width, height, depth), glass thickness, frame finish options, LED wattage, CCT options (2700K–6500K where applicable), CRI rating, IP rating, operating voltage, and gross weight. The fixing diagram shows required wall support points and rough-in dimensions for recessed models.

Cut sheets are formatted for inclusion in project documentation or as an appendix to a room data sheet. They are updated when product specifications change — VUELUXE recommends requesting a fresh copy of any cut sheet at the start of a new project rather than relying on a saved version from a previous project.

Compliance certificates

All VUELUXE mirrors carry RCM (Regulatory Compliance Mark) certification and SAA electrical safety approval, as required for sale and installation in Australia. IP44 test reports are available per model for projects where the specification or certifier requires documented water ingress protection evidence. VUELUXE can provide copies of these certificates as part of an architect’s specification package or as standalone documents for building permit applications.

NatSpec-compatible specification text

Architects specifying VUELUXE mirrors into NatSpec-formatted project documentation can request pre-written specification text per model. This text is structured to align with NatSpec section formats — it includes product reference, manufacturer, model identifier, performance requirements (CCT, CRI, IP, wattage), installation method, and reference standards. It can be inserted directly into the relevant NatSpec work section without requiring the architect to rewrite product data into specification format.

NatSpec text is model-specific and can cover multiple models within a single project specification if the project requires different mirrors in different spaces — for example, a frameless backlit rectangular for principal bathrooms and a round demister model for ensuite bathrooms.

DXF and DWG files for AutoCAD schedules

For architects preparing room data sheets, finish schedules, or fixture schedules in AutoCAD or Revit, VUELUXE can provide DXF or DWG outline files for specified models. These files contain the mirror outline at correct scale (plan and elevation views) for insertion into schedule drawings. DXF/DWG files are available on request — they are not distributed as a standard download because they need to be verified as current before insertion into a live drawing set.

To request DXF/DWG files, specify the model name, required views (plan, elevation, or both), and preferred file format in your inquiry. VUELUXE aims to provide these within 48 hours of request.

How to access specification documents

Specification documents are available to verified trade account holders. Architects who do not yet have a VUELUXE trade account can apply via the trade account form — account activation takes 24 hours for verified professional businesses. Once active, you can request a full specification pack for any model or group of models by submitting an inquiry with the project name and models required.

For architects specifying VUELUXE mirrors into a project without yet having a trade account, it is possible to request preliminary cut sheets and compliance certificates as part of an initial product inquiry — VUELUXE understands that architects need to review documentation before committing to a product specification.

What is not currently available

VUELUXE does not currently maintain a Revit family library for its product range. Revit BIM families can be created on a project-specific basis for large commercial or institutional projects where BIM coordination is required — this is handled as a project request, not a standard offering. If your project requires Revit families, raise this in your specification inquiry and VUELUXE will advise on feasibility and lead time.

VUELUXE also does not provide photometric (.ies) files for its mirror LED strips, as mirrors are primarily a reflective and illuminated surface rather than a primary light source for room illumination calculations. If your project requires photometric data for compliance with AS/NZS 1680 lighting standards, contact VUELUXE to discuss what data can be provided.

Specification support for ongoing projects

For architects working across multiple projects that regularly specify bathroom mirrors, VUELUXE offers ongoing specification support. This includes notifying you when a specified model is updated or discontinued, providing revised cut sheets when dimensions change, and coordinating with builders or project managers on your behalf when procurement questions arise. This support is part of the trade account relationship — there is no separate fee.
