How does VUELUXE’s showroom program work?
The VUELUXE showroom program works in four stages: apply for a trade account with business registration, select display models (VUELUXE recommends the VLFR-01 frameless rectangular, VLM-04 round with demister, and one arch or oval model), receive display mirrors at cost price, then replenish sold stock on order with showroom trade pricing. Territory exclusivity is not offered at this stage.
Stage one: trade account application
The starting point is a trade account application. Showrooms apply via the VUELUXE trade account form with their ABN, business registration details, and a brief description of the showroom (location, product categories carried, average customer project type). This information helps VUELUXE recommend appropriate display models and initial stock quantities for the specific showroom context.
VUELUXE reviews and activates showroom accounts within 24 hours for verified businesses. There is no joining fee and no minimum annual purchase commitment required to maintain the account, though accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be reviewed.
Stage two: display model selection
Display model selection is a collaborative process. VUELUXE makes a standard recommendation based on what displays well and sells consistently: the VLFR-01 (frameless rectangular, available in multiple widths), the VLM-04 (round backlit with demister and touch sensor), and one arch or oval model from the premium range. These three represent the primary purchase reasons for bathroom mirror buyers — clean modern frameless, practical round with fog-free function, and distinctive premium shape.
For showrooms with a specific customer demographic — for example, a showroom in a coastal luxury renovation market versus a showroom serving new housing developments — VUELUXE can adjust the recommendation. A showroom serving new housing clients may prioritise cost-effective rectangular models; a premium renovation showroom may display the full arch and oval range.
Display models should ideally be functional — connected to power and operational — so customers can assess light quality, CCT switch behaviour, and demister function in person. VUELUXE provides wiring notes for display installation to ensure the display setup maintains RCM compliance.
Stage three: display mirror pricing
Display mirrors are supplied at cost price — below standard trade pricing — because VUELUXE treats display stock as a shared marketing investment. The showroom bears the cost of the display unit itself; VUELUXE provides it at the lowest available rate. Display pricing is confirmed in the initial quote and is separate from replenishment pricing.
Display units are not returnable and are not eligible for credit if they are later replaced with a different model. The display arrangement is designed for showrooms that commit to representing the VUELUXE range for a meaningful period — at minimum, the 12-month initial display cycle. Model updates or refreshes can be discussed at the end of each display cycle.
Stage four: replenishment on trade pricing
Once display stock is established, the ongoing relationship is replenishment-based. When a customer purchases a mirror from the showroom, the showroom re-orders from VUELUXE to maintain sell-through stock. Replenishment orders are placed via the standard trade inquiry process — model, quantity, delivery address — and VUELUXE provides a quote within 24 hours.
Replenishment pricing is at the showroom trade tier, which is below the standard builder trade pricing in recognition of the showroom’s role as a distribution point. The specific rate is confirmed in the showroom’s account setup and applies to all subsequent replenishment orders for as long as the account is active.
Territory and exclusivity
VUELUXE does not currently restrict territory or offer geographic exclusivity to showrooms. Multiple showrooms in the same city or region can hold trade accounts and carry the VUELUXE range simultaneously. This may change as the distribution program matures — if VUELUXE introduces territory arrangements, existing account holders will be notified and given priority consideration.
For showrooms concerned about competitor pricing on VUELUXE products: because VUELUXE is trade-only and does not sell retail, there is no publicly available price to undercut. Retail pricing is set by each showroom independently.
Point-of-sale and merchandising support
VUELUXE provides specification cards for each displayed model as standard — these are printed cards showing dimensions, CCT options, IP rating, wattage, and finish options. For showrooms that want branded display graphics, larger format product imagery, or digital assets for in-store screens, these are available on request. Custom co-branded POS material (with the showroom’s own branding alongside VUELUXE) is available at additional cost with a minimum print run.
Staff training and product knowledge
VUELUXE can provide a product knowledge briefing for showroom staff — either in person (Adelaide showrooms only) or via a written briefing document tailored to the specific models on display. The briefing covers the key selling points for each model, how to explain CCT and CRI to customers, how to demonstrate demister and touch sensor functions, and what questions to ask to match a customer to the right model. This is available to showrooms on request, at no cost.
