VUELUXE Trade FAQs — MOQ, Pricing, Samples, Partnership
VUELUXE Trade FAQs: MOQ, Pricing, Samples, and Partnership
The following questions represent the most common enquiries we receive from builders, architects, interior designers, bathroom retailers, and trade buyers exploring a VUELUXE wholesale relationship. If your question is not covered here, contact the trade team directly or visit the VUELUXE Trade Buyers hub for full account information. For technical questions on specifications, compliance, and installation, see the companion Technical FAQs page.
MOQ and Ordering
What is an MOQ?
MOQ stands for Minimum Order Quantity — the minimum number of units required to place an order at wholesale pricing. MOQ exists because wholesale pricing reflects the economics of production, warehousing, and logistics at scale. Below a minimum volume threshold, the administrative cost of processing the order, picking, packing, and shipping approaches or exceeds the margin available at wholesale rates. MOQ is not an arbitrary restriction; it is the volume at which a wholesale transaction is economically viable for both parties.
What is VUELUXE’s typical MOQ?
VUELUXE’s MOQ varies by product category, order type, and whether you are a first-time or returning trade account holder. For stocked models available from Australian inventory, the MOQ for a single model is typically lower than for custom-specification or made-to-order products. For custom orders (non-standard sizes, custom CCT, branded packaging), minimum quantities are higher to reflect production run economics.
MOQ details are provided at the quote stage, based on your specific requirements. We do not publish fixed MOQ figures publicly because they depend on product mix — an order of multiple models at lower per-model quantities may be accommodated differently than a single-model order. Contact the trade team to confirm MOQ for your planned order profile. Visit the MOQ answer page for a fuller explanation.
Can I place a first order for a single mirror?
Single-unit orders for sampling and specification purposes are available under the sample process (see below). Single-unit orders at wholesale pricing are generally not available because they do not reflect the economics of wholesale supply. If your project requires a single mirror — for example, a bespoke residential specification — we can discuss the most appropriate pathway, which may include a sample at reduced rate that can be installed on the project.
How do repeat orders work?
Established trade account holders place repeat orders through their account manager or the trade portal. For stocked models, repeat orders from Australian inventory are fulfilled within standard lead times (confirmed at point of order). For made-to-order or custom models, the production lead time applies to each order unless call-off stock arrangements have been made. We encourage trade account holders who have predictable volume requirements to discuss blanket purchase order arrangements, which can lock pricing and reserve production capacity.
Pricing and Quoting
Why doesn’t VUELUXE publish pricing publicly?
VUELUXE is a trade wholesale supplier, not a retail store. We do not sell to the general public, and publishing retail-facing pricing would undermine the pricing integrity of our trade accounts — particularly for builders and retailers who rely on healthy margin to sustain their businesses. Public pricing also cannot capture the variable factors that affect a trade quote: volume, product mix, delivery location, payment terms, lead time requirements, and whether the order includes custom elements.
Trade pricing is provided to verified trade account holders and to prospective accounts via the quote process. Our pricing model is consistent and structured — account holders receive the same pricing framework applied consistently across their orders. For more on the pricing approach, see why we don’t publish pricing.
How does the quote process work?
Submitting a quote request takes less than five minutes. Provide us with the product models you are interested in, the quantities required, your delivery location, and any timing constraints. We respond with a formal written quote within one business day for stocked product enquiries, and within two to three business days for custom or large-volume enquiries that require production planning input.
The quote includes unit pricing, total order value, applicable freight cost, estimated lead time for your delivery location, and payment terms. Quotes are valid for 30 days. For the step-by-step quote process, see how to get a quote.
Do you offer volume discounts above the base trade rate?
Yes. Volume pricing tiers are available for orders above standard trade quantities. The specific thresholds and discount levels are discussed at the quote stage and depend on product mix, order frequency, and whether the arrangement is a single large order or a series of orders under a supply agreement. Established account holders with consistent monthly volume should speak to their account manager about structured pricing arrangements.
What are the payment terms for trade accounts?
Payment terms are confirmed as part of the trade account application process. Standard terms for new accounts are payment in advance until a credit history is established. Established accounts in good standing may be eligible for net payment terms. We accept EFT and major credit cards. Payment terms for large or custom orders may include staged payments — a deposit on order confirmation and balance prior to dispatch. All terms are documented in writing before order confirmation.
Samples
How do I request a sample?
Sample requests are processed through the trade team. Contact us with the model you want to sample, your company details, and the project or application context. We confirm sample availability, cost, and lead time within one business day. Samples can be delivered to your office, showroom, or project site.
Do samples cost the same as trade pricing?
Samples are available at a reduced rate that reflects the single-unit logistics cost plus a nominal contribution to the product value. They are not provided free of charge, as this creates commitment asymmetry and does not reflect a genuine supply relationship. The sample cost is deducted from your first qualifying order if you proceed, making the effective sample cost zero for trade buyers who convert to a production order.
What formats are samples available in?
Physical product samples are the standard format — a production-specification mirror shipped to your location for assessment. We also provide product data sheets, specification sheets, compliance documentation, and high-resolution product imagery as supplementary materials at no charge. If you are specifying for a project but cannot take physical delivery during the design phase, the documentation package allows preliminary specification; a physical sample can follow when the project is confirmed.
Can I trial a sample on a live project?
Yes. If you are specifying VUELUXE mirrors for a specific project and want to install a sample for client approval before committing to the full order volume, we support this approach. The sample mirror is ordered as a single unit; once the client approves and the production order is confirmed, the sample cost is credited to the production order. This is a common process for hotel and multi-residential projects where the project developer or interior designer wants physical approval before committing to volume.
Trade Account Setup
Who qualifies for a VUELUXE trade account?
VUELUXE trade accounts are available to businesses that supply or install bathroom fixtures as part of their commercial activity: builders, construction companies, bathroom fitout contractors, interior designers and architects specifying for construction projects, bathroom retailers and showrooms, and property developers. We do not open accounts for general consumers or individuals purchasing for personal use.
What does the trade account application involve?
The application process is straightforward and is completed online. We request your company name, ABN, primary contact details, business type, and a brief description of your typical project profile (residential, commercial, hospitality, etc.) and expected order frequency. We verify the ABN and review the application within one to two business days. Most applications are approved at this stage or with a brief follow-up call.
We do not require credit checks or financial statements for standard account application. Credit terms, if requested, involve a separate credit application process.
Is there a fee to open a trade account?
No. There is no setup fee, annual fee, or minimum spend requirement to maintain a trade account. Account status is reviewed if there is no purchasing activity for an extended period, but there is no financial obligation simply to hold an account.
White Label and Customisation
Does VUELUXE offer white-label options?
Yes. White-label supply — where our mirrors are supplied with your brand name or under a neutral label rather than the VUELUXE brand — is available for trade buyers who want to build their own product offering. White-label arrangements include custom packaging, branded documentation, and label-free product presentation as required. White-label orders are subject to minimum quantity requirements and are formalised under a supply agreement. See the customisation FAQ for an overview of available customisation options.
What customisation options are available?
Customisation options depend on the volume and lead time available. Common customisation requests we accommodate include:
- Non-standard sizes — custom width and height dimensions for bespoke architectural applications
- CCT (Correlated Colour Temperature) — specifying a non-standard CCT or CCT switch configuration for the LED strip
- Demister specification — including or excluding demister pads, or specifying demister pad size for non-standard mirror dimensions
- Frame finish — custom powder coat colours or brushed finishes in non-standard specifications
- Branded packaging — custom carton printing or insert documentation with your brand
- Connection method — specifying hardwire-only or plug-ready configurations
Customisation requests are assessed individually. Not all customisations are viable at all quantities, and some require minimum production runs that may not be appropriate for smaller projects. Contact the trade team with your specific requirements and we will advise on feasibility, MOQ, pricing, and lead time.
What is the lead time for custom orders?
Custom and made-to-order lead times are longer than stocked product lead times and depend on the complexity of the customisation and current production schedules. Typical custom lead times range from 8 to 14 weeks from order confirmation and deposit receipt. Some customisations — particularly non-standard sizes in established frame profiles — can be produced within 6 to 8 weeks. Custom orders should be planned well in advance of installation dates on construction projects; we recommend allowing a minimum 16-week planning horizon from initial enquiry to delivery on site.
First Order and Ongoing Supply
What should I expect from my first order?
First orders from new trade account holders follow a structured process. After your quote is accepted and your order is confirmed in writing, you receive an order acknowledgement with confirmed pricing, product specifications, lead time, and delivery details. Payment is processed, and we provide a dispatch notification with tracking information once your order leaves our warehouse. On delivery, we recommend inspecting all units for transit damage before installation. Any transit damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
Your account manager will follow up after your first order to confirm you have the technical documentation your electrician needs, answer any installation questions, and discuss your upcoming project pipeline. We regard the first order as the start of a supply relationship, not a one-time transaction.
How do I contact my account manager?
Trade account holders are assigned an account manager on account approval. Your account manager is your primary point of contact for pricing, order management, technical questions, and escalation. Account manager contact details are provided in your account approval documentation and are accessible through the trade portal. For urgent inquiries outside business hours, the trade email inbox is monitored for time-sensitive requests.
